Hey everyone! I've got a friend with a 2010 Nissan Versa, and lately, her car's been idling kinda rough. She thinks the idle air control valve might be the issue, but she's got no clue where that part is or how to swap it out. She's looked all over online but hasn't found any clear instructions. If anyone knows where the IAC valve is or has tips on replacing it, I'd really appreciate the help!

Its near the throttle body by the intake hose. Easy to swap with basic tools just unplug the battery first. Cleaning it might help too before replacing. Some good DIY vids online show the exact steps.

For a 2010 Nissan Versa, the IAC valve's location and whether it's a separate, serviceable part depends on the specific engine and transmission.
Sometimes, it's integrated into the electronic throttle body.
Regardless, a dirty throttle body is a very common cause of rough idle.
It's often a straightforward DIY fix and your friend can check YouTube videos on how to clean the throttle body.
If that doesn't resolve the issue, consider checking the vacuum lines, worn spark plugs and ignition coils.

I dont think it has a separate idle air control valve, it's part of the throttle body. So if the idle's rough, cleaning the throttle body should help. If that doesnt work, you might just have to replace the whole throttle body.
