I have a 2022 Versa without issue but I'm helping a friend with his older model, a 2015 Versa. So after swapping out the serpentine belt and tensioner pulley, the car is making a whining noise already and it's especially noticeable when the A/C is on. Do you guys have an idea what might've gone wrong? TIA.

That noise on the 2015 Versa could be due misaligned belt, or possibly a faulty pulley or A/C compressor bearing that's now more noticeable under load. Double check the belt routing and tension, and see if the noise changes when turning the A/C on and off

A whining noise right after belt and tensioner work is most often belt tension not set correctly or a pulley not seated perfectly. When the A/C kicks on, it adds load and makes the issue more obvious on the Nissan Versa.
