Subframe bushing job on 2011 Versa drop the subframe or work around it?

I just got my hands on a 2011 Nissan Versa hatchback, but it's got this annoying clunk coming from underneath. The shop told me the rear subframe bushings are completely worn out. I've come across a few DIY methods that suggest you can burn or press them out without taking the subframe all the way out, but I'm not sure if that's doable in my garage. Do you think that would actually be a time-saver, or is it better to just drop the subframe for safety?

Honestly, trying to burn out the bushings with the subframe still in place is a massive headache.
It's messy, it stinks, and you risk melting brake and fuel lines.
Plus, getting the new ones pressed in straight when you have no room is a nightmare.
You're way better off just dropping the subframe.
It's a bit more work up front, but you'll have the space to do the job right.
You can properly support it and get the new bushings in perfectly.
It'll save you a ton of frustration and potential problems down the line!
