A little oil pan question

Quick question for anyone who's had their oil pan off, when you drop the pan, can you actually see the bottom of the dipstick from underneath? there's a weird oil level issue and it requires me to figure out exactly how the dipstick sits in the pan and I'm not sure if it's just reading high because of the shape of the sump or if something is probably bent inside or so
I dont know if someone could help me confirm what's visible once the pan is down

Yep, once the oil pan's off, you should be able to see the bottom tip of the dipstick tube inside the sump. If it's reading weird, definitely check for any bends or if the tube's been pushed in too far as it can throw the readings off more than you think.

You can usually spot the end of the dipstick tube when the pan is off, yup. If the reading is a little weird, make sure to check if the tube is misaligned or bent. Then do your thing.
